Our Focus Areas

Political Equality

  • People are free to vote without harassment or intimidation
  • Fight and defeat voter suppression tactics in the courts
  • Polling sites are fairly distributed to avoid lines of voters hours long
  • Election boundaries fairly drawn, not gerrymandered for partisan gain 

Legal Equality

  • Justice blind to all but the evidence presented
  • The right to presumption of innocence – not imprisoned years awaiting trial
  • The right to competent representation in court
  • Wisdom in sentencing with reform, not ruining lives, the objective
  • Law enforcement that all communities can trust for fairness

Educational Equality 

  • A meaningful education giving every student the tools necessary to compete
  • Classrooms respectful of people from all backgrounds and cultures
  • Resources necessary to prevent disadvantaged students from falling behind
  • Understanding and an even hand when administering school justice

Economic Equality 

  • A living wage for all full-time work
  • Affordable education preparing workers for current and future job needs
  • Access to healthcare as a right and not a financial privilege
  • Opportunity that is truly based on merit and available to all
